Destiny Lightsy as Aaliyah?

People are starting to talk - silent screams and loud whispers about what might be in the works. It has been almost 5 years since the tragic plane crash that took the life of a true anomoly, Aaliyah. Many female artists have come and gone since her passing, yet her presence and her music still stands the test of time.

You are most likely looking at these pictures and saying, "Wow, Aaliyah was so beautiful." Well, Aaliyah was a fox - but this isn't Babygirl. This is Destiny Lightsy. Who is Destiny, you ask? Well you might know her as the cute young lady with sharp dance moves from the current Verizon Commercial Campaign. Or you may know her as the leading lady for some of the top music videos and performances over the past 2 years (i.e. "Yeah" by Usher Raymond).

So far, websites and message boards who are built around the memory of Aaliyah are denying the fact that a movie is in the works; telling their registered members that they would be the first to know when or if a movie is destined to be. All that I have to say is that if they do go through with the plans, the casting director hit big with considering Destiny for the role. The resemblance is uncanny. Destiny has years of experience as a professional dancer, and I'm quite sure that she has done a few choreographed numbers that Aaliyah made famous in her time. The photos says it all... Ms. Lightsy is primed for this role. Stay tuned...
